The twisted words

Today life is getting faster and faster. An ordinary, hard-pressed, busy man tries to be only understandable, he doesn’t pay attention to a way in which he speaks or writes. We can feel that we live faster than usual. In the shortest conversation people try to convey as much information as they can. A content is becoming more important than the way in which we transmit this content. The way of speaking is sloppy and incorrect.

In the Internet, especially in the communicator likes “gadu-gadu”, the Polish signs ( ł, ą, ę) are often skipped which is becoming more and more common. Unfortunately, these bad habits are accepted because skipping these signs doesn’t make it difficult to understand the text. What is worth noticing is the fact that the Polish signs are also omitted in the search engines. It can lead to the disappearing of the Polish signs because after all, everybody knows which word we have in mind, don’t they?

The language which is shaped by the contemporary Poles is striving for maximum simplification. The words and Polish signs are dying away.
